Daniel Biancardi

Daniel Biancardi is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in tax advisory and tax training roles for over 15 years. He started his career in Business Services at a small practice in Sydney and then moved into tax advisory roles at PwC, BDO and Prosperity Advisers. While at BDO, he was responsible for developing and delivering a national tax training program across all their state offices. Daniel has also held a senior training role at The Institute of Chartered Accountants and has presented hundreds of tax training sessions to undergraduates all the way up to Partners and Directors. Daniel is both well known and well regarded in the tax training field.

Daniel has always been passionate about tax training and in 2013 he foundered Talking Tax to provide practical and relevant tax training to accounting firms. Talking Tax grew rapidly and began servicing accounting firms in Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. In 2017 Talking Tax transferred its tax training business to Taxbanter and Daniel continues to provide tax training sessions to a multitude of clients.

Michael Bode

Michael has over 20 years’ experience in public practice with Chartered firms including 6 years at Deloitte in tax advisory, 3 years as lead tax advisor for a large financial planning firm and 3 years as head of the national tax consulting division at Prosperity Advisers. Prior to this Michael worked in business services in mid-sized Chartered practices. Having commenced with legal training and practice he gravitated naturally to his love of tax law, advice and team training.

Michael has a broad range of experience covering tax issues and practical compliance for individuals, small business, listed companies and multinationals across a wide spectrum of industries. His extensive work managing tax controversy matters and government submissions, coupled with his business service experience and passion for tax law allows him to provide significant colour and context to his training.

Tiffany Douglas

Tiffany has over 25 years experience in the tax profession undertaking roles within accounting firms (including the Big 4), corporates (including multinationals) and tax education/advocacy. Over this time, she has managed client portfolios, in-house tax functions and has also worked as both a tax technical writer and workshop/seminar presenter.

Tiffany’s outside interests include travelling, reading and keeping fit.

Tim Edgecombe

Tim has over 15 years’ experience in public practice with Chartered Accounting firms, including with Big 4 firms and continues to act as a consultant for several accounting firms, ranging from large second tier to sole practitioners. Tim has significant experience in the tax issues encountered by small to medium enterprises and brings these practical insights to training presentations.

He regularly presents tax related topics at a range of professional forums on behalf of other industry bodies. Tim is also involved with the presentation of Tax Masterclass material for CA candidates.

Deb Ghuliani

Deb joined the tax training industry after 13 years in Corporate tax at a Big 4 CA practice. Her high level of tax consulting experience and lively personality combine to ensure that clients receive an informative yet entertaining training session.

Deb has practical experience in dealing with tax issues affecting many industries, particularly manufacturing, telecommunications and resources. Deb also has significant experience in relation to international tax matters resulting from her 4 year secondment to the M&A division of the London office of the Big 4 CA firm where she worked and a 1 year secondment to an Australian subsidiary of a global listed multinational group.

Lynne Gibson

Lynne had over 25 years’ experience in public practice in Chartered Accounting firms before joining the tax training industry. Advising a diverse range of clients in most industries means she has the ideal experience and expertise that allows her to provide relevant and practical examples in her interesting presentations.

She has managed clients’ affairs, delivered tax advice and been responsible for staff development and training as a partner in a Sydney CBD Chartered Accounting practice. Before becoming a partner Lynne worked to a senior level in a number of public accounting practices including a Big 4 CA practice, advising in taxation, audit and accounting matters to a diverse range of clients including many family groups and corporate clients covering many industries. Lynne also has professional affiliations at a senior level.

George Housakos

George has over 25 years in the tax profession, including 20 years at the Australian Taxation Office, specialising in Disputes and Interpretative Advice. He also has significant experience in training and assessment roles in the TAFE sector. George is highly regarded for providing practical and pragmatic taxation and superannuation advice.

Brian Kamenetzky

Brian has more than 30 years’ experience as a professional tax trainer. He practised as a barrister in South Africa at the Johannesburg Bar before moving to Australia in 1986. He was formerly the National Tax Education director at Deloitte and at Ernst & Young before joining Webb Martin Training in 1998.

During his time at Webb Martin Training, Brian delivered more than 5,000 sessions Australia wide, in capital cities and regionally to public accountants in practice and commerce. Brian joined Cyntax in 2007, and made the move to Taxbanter in July 2011. To date, Brian has delivered more than 8,000 training sessions. His colourful presentation style, combined with his extensive knowledge of tax and enthusiastic delivery, ensures high-quality sessions. The accounting profession recognises Brian as a leading tax trainer.

Meng Lee

Meng has over 18 years of experience in the tax profession. Prior to joining Taxbanter, he was a tax trainer with Chartered Accountants Australia and Webb Martin Training. Meng has provided comprehensive tax training to clients ranging from the Australian Taxation Office, the Big 4, large mid-tier accounting firms and small medium accounting practices.

He was also a regular presenter for Chartered Accountants Australia at their public forums and tax seminars. Meng has also previously worked for CCH Australia where he contributed to well-known tax publications such as the Australian Federal Tax Reporter and the Australian Master Tax Guide. Having worked as a tax manager with a mid-tier accounting firm, Meng not only has considerable technical expertise but a practical understanding and approach to teaching tax courses.

Phillip London

Phillip has had over 30 years tax experience with management roles at KPMG and EY, Tax Director at Crowe Australasia and as Head of Tax at Tax and Super Australia.  His experience also includes 8 years as a group tax manager at an international engineering/construction company with 2 years working in the UK in tax structuring and transfer pricing. His experience in consulting extends to small and medium enterprises particularly focused on structuring investments in tax efficient entities.

Phillip is a seasoned presenter and provides a blending of practical experience and outcomes to the legislative changes and interpretation as provided for in training.
